Broad Metro LLC, the developer of Stadium Trace Village, is excited to announce it is taking the next step in creating a truly walkable lifestyle village at the confluence of HWY 150 and I-459 in Hoover. On the heels of UAB’s exciting announcement of locating a world-class healthcare facility at Stadium Trace Village, ALDI is bringing its unique grocery experience to a prime site within the Hoover development.

“Daily needs and essentials are key to our vision for Stadium Trace Village,” said William Kadish, principal at Broad Metro. “I want to thank ALDI for working with our architects and engineers to create a design that will integrate into our project seamlessly and for developing a program for the Stadium Trace Village store that helps promote walkability and a strong connection with the surrounding Village.”

“I am very excited about the announcements of the UAB Clinic and now ALDI,” says Mayor Frank V. Brocato. “The City’s vision for Stadium Trace Village is to bring new assets and services to enhance the quality of life for our residents and to further grow our economy. I am looking forward to more good news in the days ahead.”

ALDI has set the standard for quality and affordability for more than 40 years. The company pioneered a model that focuses on value, convenience and selection, and designed a shopping experience to make life easier, while offering high-quality food at affordable prices. From organic produce and antibiotic-free meats, to award-winning wine and cheese selections, people trust ALDI to stock exactly what they need. And from the size of the stores, to quality measures and exclusive private-label brands, ALDI works tirelessly to control costs and pass those savings on to shoppers.

The Stadium Trace Village ALDI is a new prototype for the company that will have access designed to encourage more walkability, foot traffic and a better connection with the surrounding Village. Inside, the new store features a fresh design, open ceilings, natural lighting and environmentally friendly building materials – such as recycled materials, energy-saving refrigeration and LED lighting. The store puts an increased emphasis on fresh produce with larger and more visible displays, which is key to help promote the healthy lifestyle integral to the vision for Stadium Trace Village.

Stadium Trace Village broke ground in 2017 and is currently under construction with a projected opening date for the first parts of the project in late 2018. It was named one of the “Deals of the Year” by the Birmingham Business Journal and has been designed to complement and enhance the existing community. The goal is to strengthen the entire City of Hoover by bringing enduring best in category operators to the I-459/Highway 150 gateway location.
